Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Get Unblocked PTY LTD (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website (www.getunblocked.com.au) or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully, as they govern the use of our services and your relationship with us. If you do not agree with any of these Terms and Conditions, you must refrain from using our website and services.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

  • “Services” refers to the drain and pipe unblocking services offered by Get Unblocked PTY LTD, including but not limited to high-pressure water jetting, CCTV drain inspections, and manual unblocking.
  • “Customer” refers to the individual, company, or other legal entity engaging our services or using our website.
  • “Agreement” refers to the binding contract formed between the Company and the Customer for the provision of services, including these Terms and Conditions and any additional agreements made in writing.
  • “Website” refers to our website located at getunblocked.com.au, including all content, tools, and services available through it.
  • “Worksite” refers to the premises or location where the services will be performed.
  • “Equipment” refers to any tools, machinery, or technology used by the Company in providing the services.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the Website, engaging our services, or accepting any quotations from us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Company, superseding any prior agreements or negotiations regarding the services. No changes to these Terms and Conditions are valid unless confirmed in writing by the Company.

3. Scope of Services

Our services primarily include, but are not limited to, drain unblocking using high-pressure water jetting, CCTV inspections, and manual clearing techniques. We may also provide additional or related services, such as drain maintenance advice or recommendations for structural repairs. We will take all reasonable measures to unblock your drains, but our responsibility is limited to the clearing of obstructions and does not extend to repairing any damage or defects in your drainage system unless explicitly agreed upon in writing.

The services will be provided at the Customer’s worksite on an agreed date and time. While we strive to meet all scheduled appointments, delays may occur due to traffic, previous job overruns, or unforeseen circumstances. The Company will endeavour to notify the Customer of any such delays in a timely manner.

4. Obligations of the Customer

The Customer must ensure clear access to the drainage system that requires unblocking. It is the responsibility of the Customer to provide accurate information regarding the nature of the blockage, the location of pipes, and any other relevant details. If the Customer fails to provide this information or access to the worksite is obstructed, the Company reserves the right to charge a call-out fee and reschedule the service.

The Customer must also ensure that all health and safety hazards, including but not limited to underground utilities, hazardous materials, and unstable structures, are disclosed prior to the commencement of the work. If unsafe conditions exist and were not disclosed, the Company reserves the right to terminate or suspend the service without liability.

5. Fees and Payment

Our pricing will be set out in a written quotation provided to the Customer before services commence. The quotation is valid for 30 days and includes all applicable fees and taxes unless stated otherwise. By accepting the quotation, the Customer agrees to pay the fees outlined for the services performed.

Payment is due immediately upon completion of the services unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept payment via bank transfer, credit card, and cash. For certain jobs, a non-refundable deposit may be required, particularly if specialized equipment or materials need to be sourced. Failure to pay by the due date may result in late payment fees, interest on overdue amounts, and potential suspension of services until payment is received.

If any services are required beyond those stated in the initial quotation (such as additional work due to undetected damage), the Company will provide a separate quotation for the additional services. Work will only proceed with the Customer’s consent.

6. Get Unblocked Guarantee

At Get Unblocked PTY LTD, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent results. We offer a Get Unblocked Guarantee, which means that if we are unable to unblock your drain using standard methods, you will not be charged for the service. However, this guarantee does not apply in the following cases:

  • Structural Damage: If we discover that the blockage is caused by a cracked, collapsed, or otherwise damaged pipe, the guarantee does not apply. Such issues may require excavation, pipe replacement, or repair, which are outside the scope of our standard unblocking services.
  • Foreign Objects: If the blockage is caused by foreign objects such as toys, debris, or non-flushable materials, we will do our best to clear the blockage. However, if these objects cannot be removed through our standard methods, the guarantee will not apply.
  • Tree Root Intrusions: Blockages caused by invasive tree roots may require specialised cutting or excavation services, which are not covered under the guarantee.
In cases where the Get Unblocked Guarantee does not apply, you will be charged for any inspection services, partial work completed, and any further recommendations for resolving the issue.

7. Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule an appointment by giving us at least 24 hours’ notice. If less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, a cancellation or rescheduling fee may apply. If we arrive at the worksite and are unable to perform the services due to factors beyond our control (e.g., lack of access, unsafe conditions), we reserve the right to charge a call-out fee.

In the event that we are unable to perform the services on the agreed date due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather, equipment failure, or staff illness, we will notify you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative date.

8. Limitations of Liability

We will perform the services with all reasonable care and skill. However, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, revenue, or business opportunities, loss of use of the property, or damage to property that arises from pre-existing conditions in the drainage system. Our liability under this Agreement is limited to the amount paid by the Customer for the service provided.

We are also not responsible for damages that may arise from the discovery of pre-existing defects, such as collapsed or cracked pipes, or from the removal of blockages caused by tree roots, foreign objects, or other unforeseeable obstacles. If further work is required to remedy these issues, the Customer will be responsible for all associated costs.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Australian law.

9. Warranty and Workmanship

The Company guarantees that our work will be performed to a high standard and in compliance with applicable regulations and best practices. If any issues arise from our work within 30 days of completion, we will, at our discretion, revisit the worksite and address the issue without charge, provided that the issue is related to the original service provided and is not caused by subsequent misuse or new blockages. This warranty does not cover issues arising from structural defects, foreign objects, tree roots, or any other conditions beyond our control.
